Took a trip to the NC Zoo yesterday. This is my favorite photo from the trip. It was close to closing time and these cats were pacing back and forth. I’m assuming it was close to feeding time.
I'm not really a wildlife photographer, but I thought I'd take a stab at bird photography. I learned that birds are ridiculously uncooperative.
This is the same fence that was in my previous post. There was a master horizontal shot showing the entire fence from across the street. That became the back layer.
Lilly reached out wanting to shoot a car concept. I asked her to bring 3-looks (casual, dressy and sexy). Tell me which one you think this look is. Hope you like it.
Today (April 16/22) I photographed Cassandra as part of my "Primary RED Project". Her laughter and infectious smile was simply FANTASTIC.
I took this photograph looking through the viewfinder of my Kodak Brownie Target 620 at a photograph that met the criteria for the camera:
With all the talk lately of ICM and overlapping frames, I've wandered more and more from "straight" photography lately. It's all your fault.
I've long been interested in abstract and minimalist photographic images, and was very pleased when Ruth Carll set up this site.
The full lighting setup for these shots consisted of one flash mounted on a beauty dish as key light placed overhead, another on a strip box for the rim plus one with a MagMod modifier for the stri
These are the result of too much free time.
This was processed similarly to #2 yesterday.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure to shoot some massive maples along the coast of Vancouver Island with a few fellow landscape photographers.
Macy was back on Spring Break. Happy she chose to spend an afternoon with me. We shot 3 looks. I love it when the light test is a keeper. Hope you like it.

"You keep using that word. I do not think that word means what you think it does."
Apologies for the pun and "The Princess Bride" quote.
ICM has been my joy and passion for a few years now.
Hi guys!
I have done a little series of 9 images (here are 3 of them) taken on a boat using the ICM technique and by blending two exposures in-camera.
I've tried a bunch of times to get one of these Tree ICM shots that I'm happy with. I feel like this one maybe close. I wish there was a touch more texture.
Focus stacking a scene at a harbor of 16 photos, when I found this in the corner of the composition. At first when I saw the bird in the image I thought it was going to me a wasted effort.
I am posting my versions of hybrid motion.

Something different than ICM. In a discussion about abstract I had a discussion on another board on why rules of photography work. Someone(s) sat down and figured out what the brain liked.
I have been looking at option of embellishing older photos using the addition of motion blur (in Photoshop) to key areas of the image.
This afternoon Harry and I attempted ICM in a way different from what we had done before, Previously we had stood still (or at least I tried to) and shot multiple images from the same position whil
I guess that now we have set an overarching theme of ICM I should post something myself.
