Exploring the swamp just before dark.
This is the Venice fishing pier in Venice, Florida.
Julia was a client on a boudoir session last year. I thought she might be great as a model for a limited attendance workshop. When I asked her to see if she was even interested, she was all in.
For the fun. Whenever I travel (by plane, boat, taxi, Uber, etc.), I challenge myself to take photos, especially when in motion and I'm not driving.
Taking Dean's prompt for this month's challenge yesterday while on my way to a shoot I decided to jump into the back seat of the car and just play.
More like View THROUGH a Window, but who's counting?
I wasn't sure this was going to work but I think it came out better than expected.
re: Dean's March challenge
I am currently trying to put together a web page to share that includes some of the projects I've developed over the past decade or so, including the experimental images I have shared here.
This is a photograph of a detail of an art installation in my home town, called 'piep show' ..

The cropped, closeup photo I took a couple of days ago really shows the odd eyelash-like feathers at the base of the bird's beak.

(Btw, that's the incredible Cologne, Germany cathedral.)
With winter weather in the northern hemisphere making photography less conducive, the February challenge shifts focus—not on taking shots, but on recognizing the work of others.
With apologies to Alan for not strictly adhering to his suggested format...
Another long-time member I'd like to spotlight at this time is Kyle Foreman.
Although perhaps not as active in the group as he once was, Kyle has been a contributing voice since 2019.
Hi everyone,
Perhaps a bit late for our January challenge...... the weather I have been waiting for finally arrived in Vermont and I (reluctantly) dragged myself out of the house to face the cold.
Again with apologies to Alan for not strictly adhering to his suggested format...
The second person I am often inspired by is Dean Wilson (https://fstoppers.com/profile/deanwilsoncanby)
Or, they may just be sniffing one another. Who can tell?
(Note the changed border color scheme.)
As the weather has been lousy and Harry's been feeling poorly, I've been spending some time with older images where I took multiple photographs of the same thing.
First off, I'm sure some will have noticed a drop off from one of our most active members, Jennifer.
In line with the theme of minimalism....
Hi everyone,
Hey everyone! I'm an aspiring interior and architecture photographer specializing in safari camps across Africa.
I noticed a lot of the newer cameras have a feature called pre-capture where essentially you can go back one or two seconds and still have a photo that you didn't actually take.
Scouting the Dolomites lead me in this incredible secret valley, a lot of place to see here. The perfect place for nature lovers and trekkers.
