A Morning of Changing Light and Mood
Some weeks ago, I had the opportunity to revisit Fervenza de Torez, a waterfall I’ve photographed several times, but nature always finds ways to surprise me.

Hi all. As we tend to be stuck indoors during chilly winter (northern hemisphere) weather I thought it might be worth exploring other aspects of our photography.
A couple of shots of Sgwd Sychryd in the Neath Valley. I'd taken these some time ago and just came across them so thought I'd share them. As always, constructive comments are welcome.
I am a Rookie in both the sense of "time-in-group" and "camera skill' as compared to Ruth Carll who, I believe, started this group and was gone long before I joined. Thank you Mr.

I thought I share some work here. This photo was taken in Rotterdam about 4 years ago.
So today we finally received a period of prolonged snowfall during the daylight hours, allowing to travel to one of my favorite spots by the lake before the clouds rolled in.
We had some snowfall very early this morning, so I grabbed a couple of test shots from the front of the house. This was just to get some practice in ahead of an expected storm tomorrow.
I met Isabella last Summer at a photography conference. a few weeks ago, she reached out for a shoot saying she was interested in starting a portfolio to present to local modeling agencies.
Shannon and I have shot a few times. She had an idea for a faux fur look. I wanted to put a little bit of a retro twist on it. I hope you like it.
Brooke is a local photographer who wanted to step in front of the camera for a change. She reached out for a shoot. We put a 3-look shoot together and this was one of my favs. Hope you like it.
Sarah signed with an agency and need to update her portfolio. She reached out to schedule a shoot. She surprised me a little because her personality was not what imagined from her photographs.
Rachel came back into town for her university graduation ceremony. While she was in town she wanted to get together for a shoot. She saw this catsuit on my rack and wanted to try it on.
I photographed Brinkley sometime last year. She reached out to shoot again with an idea in mind. We shot a couple of looks then we pulled out the butterflies for her soft portrait.
I've photographed both Shannon and Ellie several times over the past few years. Though they've never met, Shannon thought it might be fun to shoot a duo with Ellie. She was right.
Just in case members did not see Jenny's update in the January challenge post, I have recently added a blog post on my site spotlighting the work of Christophe Jacrot.

The morning after a snowstorm, we had fresh snow and clear skies! So, I spent some time chasing shadows from the low winter sun around the yard.
The weather was lousy enough for the last week so getting out with Harry would not happen. You do NOT want to be on our deck until the snow clears and we've had a chance to clean up his mess.
It was raining hard on and off most of the day and towards the end of the day, I didn't have my Sony. These are just smartphone photos from Portugal.
As I await our next snowstorm I've been going through some older images and thought I might share. Apologies if you've seen any of these in the past.
Trying out the "in the round" technique yet again. This time with a seaside Gazebo. I took the photos with the intention of doing this several years ago.
I am not sure this discussion group is stil alive but I am going to try anyway.
2 summers ago, I was in Moscow - already in 'war' with Ukraine (Moscow didn't recognized it as a war).
Last February we took a trip to The Green Dragon outside Ephrata and I shot six images as we drove past this guy working on the roof near Morgantown.
As you have seen (or will see), January doesn't have inclement in our area...it's always calm before the storm.
I had to do a archive dive to find anything that fit.
